Call for Papers

Amerikastudien / American Studies is continuously accepting manuscripts for papers (8,000 words max.) for double-blind peer review. Manuscripts should be submitted to the editorial offices at Europa-Universität Flensburg and Philipps-Universität Marburg via amst@dgfa.de.

All submissions should be in MS Word format (.docx, 2010 and higher), preceded by an abstract in English of no more than 200 words, and following MLA 7th ed. parenthetical citation style. Articles should contain no references to the author.            
Upon submission, please confirm explicitly that the article has not been previously published (online or in print) and is not currently under review elsewhere.

Call for Proposals: Forum Contributions and Interviews

Amerikastudien / American Studies also invites innovative, dialogic formats on current debates in the field for the forum section. Forum contributions should cover a spectrum of positions on a given issue and be curated by one or several moderators. For an example of this format, please see “Digitization, Digital Humanities, and American Studies” in Amst 68.1. Please send your proposals of topics, theoretical foundation, potential impact, and contributors to the General Editors at amst@dgfa.de

Amerikastudien / American Studies also publishes interviews with writers or scholars of particularly high impact. Please contact the General Editors for details at amst@dgfa.de.
